Off-Site Access to Library Databases

Register for an account on www.ClinicalKey.com using your Commonspirit Health email address from a computer connected to the Dignity Health network. 

  • After registering, navigate to https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/remote-access OR click on your profile icon in the top right corner and then click on “Remote Access.” You must be on the Commonspirit Health Network.
  • Provide your Commonspirit Health email address. Select “Dignity Health - Remote Access.” 
  • Check your Commonspirit Health email on the same device you intend to access ClinicalKey and there should be an email from ClinicalKey to activate your remote access. You have initiate a separate email and follow this process over again for each device you intend to access ClinicalKey with. 
  • Register for an account on http://www.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/action/registration using your Commonspirit Health email address from a computer connected to the Commonspirit Health network.
  • Once you have registered for Wiley Online Library, you can also sign in to Cochrane Library with Wiley account you created.
  • **Off-site accesss is more user friendly with mobile devise sometimes  
  • Create an account on www.jamanetwork.com using your Commonspirit Health email address from a computer connected to the Commonspirit Health network.
  • If you already have an account, simply login anywhere for remote access.

Create Lexidrug Account and Activate Subscription

  1. Visit http://www.lexi.com/account/create/.
    • Enter your registration information and click Create Account.
      • You must register with your organizational e-mail address.
      • Remember your chosen email address and password used to create this account as you will need these during step 2.
  2. Log into the account you just created; click Log in now.
  3. Enter your Email Address and Password; click Log in.
  4. In the Subscriptions section, locate Add a Subscription by Code.Code Section
  5. Enter the Authorization Code; click Add Subscription.
    • If you receive "The product code is not valid" message, please confirm the code was entered correctly and try again.
    • You may also need to update your email address to your organizational email.
      • Once logged in, click CHANGE EMAIL ADDRESS on the right side of the screen.
      • Enter your organizational email address and click Update.
  6. You will receive an email with a 5-character PIN at your registered email address.
  7. Enter the PIN into the Verify PIN field; Click Verify.
  8. Click Finish.
  • Create an account on www.nejm.org with Commonspirit eamil address from a computer connected to the Commonspirit Health network.
  • If you already have an account, simply login anywhere for remote access.

Register for an account on https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/action/registration using your Commonspirit Health email address from a computer connected to the Commonspirit Health network. 

1. Using your registered login, log into https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/

2. Your Wiley profile will automatically affiliate with Dignity Health, and you will be able to access Dignity Health’s licensed content by logging in to Wiley Online Library for 60 days. Your affiliation will renew for another 60-day period each time you log in to your Wiley account while connected to the Dignity Health network.

 

  • Register for an account on www.UpToDate.com with Commonspirit eamil or your private email from a computer connected to Commonspirit Health network 
  •  Go to uptodate.com/login and login with your Commonspirit email or private email
  • If you use your private email to register, you must log in on the Dignity Health network every 90 days in order to maintain uninterrupted access to UpToDate**
  • **Alternatively, log into your UpToDate account in Cerner for uninterrupted access. 

Off-Site Access Via Citrix

IP-authenticated library resources are available via Citrix. 

  1. If you have a Dignity Health Citrix account, login at nfuse.dignityhealth.org Citrix screenshot
  2. Once logged in, navigate to the the Desktop Viewer icon. Clicking on the desktop icon will download an ica file. Launch the ica file and follow the prompts to open up the Desktop Viewer. 
  3. Once in Desktop Viewer, you now have two options to locate library resources: 
    1. Use the Inside Dignity Health icon to navigate to Resource Links, then Library Resources. OR
    2. Use the Google Chrome icon and manually enter the library website URL: libguides.dignityhealth.org/library.

Contact your IT department if you have issues logging into Citrix or launching the Desktop Viewer feature. 

Mobile Apps

Register for an account on www.ClinicalKey.com using your Commonspirit Health email address from a computer connected to the Commonspirit Health network.  See instructions in Off Site Access to Library Resources Box above. 

Create an Account and Apply for Remote access before downloading the app,

  1. Click Register in the top right corner on ClincialKey in SJMC Library 
  2. Use your Commonspirit email to get your account registered
  3. Now go back to ClinicalKey and log in. 
  4. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and then click on “Remote Access.”
  5. Insert your Commonspirit Health email to request remote access. 
  6. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Once you receive it, click the “Activate your remote access” link.
  7. On your mobile device, open the App Store or Google Play
  8. Search for ClinicalKey( for ClinicalKey or ClinicalKey for Nursing) and download.
  9. Login to ClinicalKey using the Commonspirit Health email and password you registered.

Lexicomp App -  For detailed instruction about downloading the app, click  "Mobile Access"

Please note:  Authorization code was updated .  To retrieve the code, click "Mobile Access Code" or ask your librarian. 

Users must activate or renew their mobile subscription using Commonspirit Health email . If users previously registered with a personal email, please visit https://www.lexi.com/account/  to update their email address. 

Step 1 - Create Lexicomp Mobile Account and Activate Subscription

  1. Visit http://www.lexi.com/account/create/.
    • Enter your registration information and click Create Account.
      • You must register with your organizational e-mail address.
      • Remember your chosen email address and password used to create this account as you will need these during step 2.
  2. Log into the account you just created; click Log in now.
  3. Enter your Email Address and Password; click Log in.
  4. In the Subscriptions section, locate Add a Subscription by Code.
  5. Enter the Authorization Code; click Add Subscription.
    • If you receive "The product code is not valid" message, please confirm the code was entered correctly and try again.
    • You may also need to update your email address to your organizational email.
      • Once logged in, click CHANGE EMAIL ADDRESS on the right side of the screen.
      • Enter your organizational email address and click Update.
  6. You will receive an email with a 5-character PIN at your registered email address.
  7. Enter the PIN into the Verify PIN field; Click Verify.
  8. Click Finish.

Step 2 - Mobile App Installation for iPhone, iPad, iPod  OR Android (click for Android)

  1. On your iOS device, tap on the App Store icon and search for Lexicomp.
  2. Select Lexicomp and tap Get or Free, then Install, or the small cloud with a downward arrow, and enter your iTunes password (if prompted) and tap OK.
  3. Open the Lexicomp app on your device.
  4. Enter your email and password and tap Sign In. If you forgot your password, click Forgot Password.
  5. Please read the license agreement and tap Accept.
  6. Select Automatic Update preference: WiFi only or Wifi and Data; Tap Next.
  7. Select your Library content preference: I will select the content sets to install; or Download ALL content sets for me; Tap Get Started.
  8. Select content sets or tap Download ALL.
  9. After the update is complete, tap the Menu button in the top right corner and tap Home.
  10. Select an icon to begin accessing your Lexicomp Mobile App subscription.

Important Notes

  1. Updates may take some time, depending upon the database(s) selected, the connection speed, and the speed of your device's memory.
  2. The Lexicomp Mobile App requires a strong cellular or Wi-Fi signal for installation. The application may transfer a significant amount of data, which could result in charges from your carrier. We recommend you utilize an unlimited data plan or connect to a Wi-Fi network when installing or updating this product. Please contact your carrier for assistance with your data plan or with utilizing a Wi-Fi connection.
  3. The iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad application requires iOS 11.0 or later, an active Apple ID, and 2.0 GB of available space. To verify you have a compatible device, access SETTINGS > GENERAL > ABOUT. If you have an earlier version, please update your device before continuing. If you do not have an iTunes account, please visit: https://support.apple.com/ to create one.

NeoFax and Pediatrics via IBM MicroMedex are available via Commonspirit Heatlh networked computers. 

To download Micromedex NeoFax and Pediatrics Apps, click Mobile Access Application on the upper right hand corner of the homepage. 

New Mobile App Activation and Instructions:  Note: It is recommended to download the app using Intitutioanl Wi-Fi

Step 1
Visit the App Store or Google Play® from your device and search Micromedex.
Step 2
From the App Store or Google Play, select download / install the application. You may be prompted to enter your Apple or Google ID.
Step 3
The app will download to your app library, or directly to your device.
Step 4
Open the app. The activation code will generate on the mobile device. Copy the code by tapping on a copy icon to the right of the code.
     To activate the app:  Tap on "Activate Now" button on your app. Enter login information if required.
Step 5
Paste or enter the code in the "Activate Now" window on the mobile device or in the desktop application. Click "Activate Device". Begin using the app.
  1. Access UpToDate by visiting “www.uptodate.com/login
  2. Enter your Commonspirit Health email and click Continue. 
  3. If you access UpToDate for the first time, complete your registration or sign in with an existing UpToDate account
  4. Download “UpToDate” App on your mobile device.
  5. After opening the UpToDate app on your mobile, Log in or register via SSO. 

** Once UpToDate registration is complete, downloading the app on up to two mobile devices is allowed.
